Each of the blanket’s quilted pockets are filled with tiny glass beads providing even pressure across your body stimulating each stress point. The weight and pressure creates a sense of being swaddles or hugged, and sense of security which helps the body to relax. Weighted blankets are used to reduce or manage the symptoms of sleep disorders, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Restless Leg Syndrome, arthritis, fibromyalgia, stress and pain.

The blanket weights 6.8kg and is advised to be used by those aged 12 and up.

That feel-good feeling

The Kally Weighted Anxiety Blanket is designed using Deep Pressure Touch Stimulation theory, simulating the comforting feeling of being hugged or held. The Weighted Anxiety Blanket increases oxytocin, which helps to create a feeling of relaxation and improved sleep. The deep touch pressure stimulation also promotes the release of dopamine and serotonin, which have a calming effect that combats anxiety, stress and depression. The stimulation of serotonin releases melatonin hormones, which promote sleep and regulate the sleep cycle.

Micro bead technology

It’s quilted pockets evenly filled with micro glass beads to give the blanket even weight distribution, applying deep pressure on your body to stimulate each stress point. The weight can help to ground the body, which has been found to reduce cortisol levels (the stress hormone that has a negative effect on blood sugar, digestion and immunity). The weight also provides a relaxing pressure which can benefit those who suffer with restless leg syndrome or similar pain such as arthritis or fibromyalgia.

And... exhale

Weighted blankets are used to reduce or manage the symptoms of sleep disorders, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Restless Leg Syndrome, arthritis, fibromyalgia, stress and pain.
